JACKYL CELEBRATE SILVER ANNIVERSARY WITH ‘25’ AND TOUR

It’s an incredible accomplishment when a rock band has been successful enough to reach the 25-year mark since the release of their first album.

And this year, raunchy southern rockers Jackyl have accomplished this feat, and are celebrating with an appropriately-titled compilation, ’25,’ which drops July 28 via Mighty Loud Records.

The 18-track set (which can be preordered via the band’s official site, jackyl.com) features such Jackyl radio hits as “Down on Me,” “The Lumberjack,” “Push Comes to Shove,” and “Favorite Sin,” as well as two previously unreleased tracks - a live rendition of “Redneck Punk,” as well as a cover of Black Oak Arkansas’ “Hot and Nasty.”

“At the time we first hit the scene, we were told by quite a few interviewers and fans that we sounded like a cross between Black Oak Arkansas and AC/DC,” explains Jackyl. “While we was very familiar with AC/DC, we were not with BOA. We went back and listened, and were blown away - so much so, that we recorded a cover of one of their most kick ass tunes, ‘Hot and Nasty,’ which is now finally getting its release on this comp.”

First bursting upon the scene with their self-titled, platinum-certified debut album in 1992, Jackyl has made a name for themselves as a killer live band that delivers night after night, and has continued to offer up good old fashioned blues boogie over the years, as evidenced on such subsequent albums as 1994’s gold-certified ‘Push Comes to Shove,’ all the way to their most recent release, 2016’s ‘Rowyco.’

“With this compilation, we are celebrating 25 years of Jackyl rock n’ roll - the fundamentals of rock n roll,” adds Jesse. “And beware - we are not slowing down anytime soon.”

Slagel reveals the early advice he gave that helped guide Motley Crue's career; how he helped Metallica replace their bassist - twice; his detailed work on Thin Lizzy and Alice Cooper re-issues; his behind-the-scenes role in the careers of Slayer, GWAR, Mother Love Bone, Alice in Chains, Faith No More, Goo Goo Dolls, and Lamb of God; and his unlikely ventures with kindred metal heads - from hockey star Ken Baumgartner, to celebrity chef Chris Santos, to The Howard Stern Show's Richard Christy, to comedians Jim Florentine, Don Jamieson and Jim Breuer.

BLAZE BAYLEY ANNOUNCES NORTH AMERICAN TOUR IN SUPPORT OF ‘ENDURE AND SURVIVE (INFINITE ENTANGLEMENT PART II)'

Over the years, a whole new appreciation has developed for the “Blaze Bayley era” of Iron Maiden - which resulted in such classic albums as 1995’s ‘X Factor’ and 1998’s ‘Virtual XI’ (and the singles “Man on the Edge,” “Lord of the Flies,” “The Angel and the Gambler,” “Futureal,” and an all-new track on 1996’s Best of the Beast comp, “Virus”).

And recently, Bayley (who was also the singer for another highly-respected rock band, Wolfsbane) has released his latest solo effort (a second in a trilogy of release), entitled ‘Endure and Survive (Infinite Entanglement Part II).

Check out the video of the new song, “Escape Velocity,” here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJTXqHA2eYs&feature=youtu.be

And with the album’s release comes the announcement of an extensive North American tour, which starts August 9th on the east coast, and will run to September 9th on the west coast.

“I'm so excited about coming to USA and Canada for the ‘Endure and Survive’ part of my ‘Infinite Entanglement’ tour,” explains Blaze. “I have great memories of touring there with Wolfsbane and Iron Maiden. I'll be doing a few songs from those days and some songs from my new albums. As a thank you to my fans for waiting so long for this tour, I will be doing a free meet and greet after every show, signing any CDs and albums that I'm featured on. I'm fitting in as many towns and cities as I can on this tour and I'm hoping it will be possible to tour USA and Canada every year if fans want me to return.”

Soon, North American fans will be able to hear Iron Maiden classics and solo material performed on stage by one of the great rock singers of recent times, Blaze Bayley!
