Shadow Kingdom Records Reissues PAGAN ALTAR's Judgement of the Dead
Shadow Kingdom Records is now offering the newly reissued Judgement of the Dead from cult N.W.O.B.H.M doom band PAGAN ALTAR. Originally released in 1982, Shadow Kingdom Records will stock North American shelves with this classic on January 8, 2013. Until then, fans can order the release exclusively through Shadow Kingdom Records.
For a digital copy and free stream of the album, visit the label's bandcamp page. Physical copies are available at the Shadow Kingdom Records Webstore.
Shadow Kingdom's Tim McGrogan had this to say about the album:
"Back in 1982 PAGAN ALTAR released this N.W.O.B.H.M. masterpiece and almost immediately this album went into obscurity. They have been by far the most over looked band in the history of heavy metal music. It's amazing that they've finally pulled it all together for being virtually non-existent for nearly 15 years. They deserve all of the success and recognition they're getting today and much, much more! In the late 90's they came out of the woodwork and put this out on their own label and it was mistakenly called "Volume 1". The extra track was an acoustic track which was just called "Acoustics" at the time. This is the first time this album will be released in all its glory. The correct title "Judgement of the Dead" and updated acoustic song title as well. Also, this is the original artwork that was released back in 1982 which has never been seen before until now! We've re-mastered the CD to sonically preserve its antique feel. It comes with a very nice booklet that includes a story and old band photos. If there ever was such a thing as a perfect album, this would be it! There is nothing more satisfying than the sound of this record. If you've never heard of this band or album, think of Black Sabbath and Jethro Tull and you're almost there. They take music to a whole new level."

PureGrainAudio.com Streaming Trillion Red's Metaphere In Full
Dark Progressive Avant-Garde metal entity Trillion Red has teamed with PureGrainAudio.com to offer a full album stream of the band's forthcoming release Metaphere. The album becomes available on October 23rd via badGod Music, but can be heard in it's entirety at this location.
Taking his cerebral brand of auditory darkness to a new level, Trillion Red mastermind Patrick Brown is one of metal's few musicians who can legitimately claim to have discovered new musical territory with his newest creation.
Metaphere is available for pre-order at www.badgodmusic.com and trillionredofficial.bandcamp.com.
"I would call the album the deconstruction and recreation of modern extreme music. Patrick of Trillion Red will be remembered as an innovator years after they are gone sadly to say. This maybe album of the year right now for me..." - Absolute Zero
"I would give you 'Trillions' of reasons to hear this magnificent work."

INCANTATION Reveal Artwork and Track Listing for Vanquish in Vengeance
US death metal pioneers INCANTATION have revealed the cover art and track listing for their anticipated new album, Vanquish in Vengeance.
The long-awaited followup to 2006's Primordial Domination, Vanquish in Vengeance carries a recurring lyrical theme that addresses the countless acts of genocide in the name of religion throughout our history. Guitarist/vocalist John McEntee comments:
"The title track is about the massacre of Saxons in the town of Verdun in 782, called on by order of King Charlemagne. As an album title it has a different meaning to me. Vanquish in Vengeance symbolizes the long history of the band. We have fought many battles over the years to keep things going. We have always stayed true to our original vision and have never caved into trends. After a long wait between albums we are back with a vengeance with some of our darkest and heaviest material to date."
Vanquish in Vengeance was recorded at Mars Studio with Bill Korecky and mixed by Dan Swano at Unisound Studios.
Cover art comes courtesy of Worthless [www.worthlessendeavors.com].

MonsterWorks To Release Man::Intrinsic on 10/30
London-based progressive thrashtasmic entity MONSTERWORKS will release their second three-song DR (digital release), Man :: Intrinsic, on October 30th through Mortal Music.
The second in a three part series of digital releases that collectively make up Album of Man, Man :: Intrinsic conceptually picks up where its predecessor, Man :: Instincts, left off. Where the first release was an exploration of what it means to be human, Man :: Intrinsic looks at the inherent nature of mankind.
Just prior to the release of Man :: Intrinsic, MONSTERWORKS will perform live for the first time since March of this year when they play at The Unicorn in London on October 13th. Sweden's Panic Area and Doomsayer will be playing as well. For details visit www.facebook.com/Monsterworks.
Man :: Instincts is still available for download at www.MortalMusic.bandcamp.com.
Unconditional Lie
Taste of Doom
Air
"Man: Instincts is at times bizarre, at times incomprehensible, and at all times utterly interesting. The experience gives you so much in such a short amount of time that it's absolutely worth the ride, even if you only manage to take in half of everything available."
"Monsterworks have no boundaries and flip the bird at the rule book." [8/10]
"With powerful lyrics that doubt one's belief, the band's music is far more than harmony and technique, for it might make a person think and confront himself with things he may consider undoubtedly true." -Metal Shock Finland
In the course of its existence MONSTERWORKS has been responsible for albums as farfetched as a metal space adventure concept album in two parts (Spacial Operations - 2007 and Singularity - 2009), but more recently has explored philosophical territory (The God Album - 2011) and an approach to recording that mostly relies on "old-school" technology, i.e. 24 track, 2-inch tape, like the classic albums the band grew up with. It was time to take a step back and rediscover the grit that made metal great, rather than the over-polished mechanical production that is often evident in modern releases.
Stylistically the band has always been difficult to pin down, at one moment death metal, in another stoner rock, then back to thrash; but the challenge to the listener is intentional and somehow in the end it works (in the context of heavy metal, which is the only essential influence). What is important is that the music does not switch between styles for the sake of it, nor to show off; it is just what feels right in the moment.
MONSTERWORKS has, possibly to its own detriment, never followed trends or towed the line; preferring to forge its own path in the continually evolving world of heavy metal. In this respect it has always stayed true to its mission statement:
IMAGE IS NOTHING; METAL IS EVERYTHING.
MONSTERWORKS is:
Hugo - Bass
James - Drums
Jon - Guitar / Vocals
Marcus - Lead Guitar

DOGBANE record cover of Charisma for KISS tribute
In the wake of the passing of Dogbane guitarist David Ellenburg the remaining band are hard at work to carry on as their fallen brother would have wanted.
Currently Dogbane is in the studio recording a cover of 'Charisma' for an upcoming KISS tribute released through Versailles Records titled Rock & Roll All Nite: A Tribute to Kiss: 1974 - 2013, to be released later this year/ early 2013. And even though the track selected by the band is from the Dynasty album don't expect disco, be assured Dogbane will put their spin on the tune and make it their own.
"When I was in the third grade the "Book Fair" came to my school. I went without lunch for two days so I could save enough money to buy a paperback book called "Rock Stars" because it featured KISS. Additionally, KISS "Dynasty" was the first record I ever owned. They (KISS) were superheroes to me, collectively they were mightier than Godzilla, Ultra Man, Super Friends, and the Legion of Doom. It just doesn't get much cooler than that..." - Mitch Allred/Guitarist "The year was 1977. I had a science teacher named Mr. Warner. He informed us on the first day of school that he was a born again Christian, and the wearing of KISS regalia in his classroom would not be tolerated. Mr. Warner stated "from this day forward anyone caught doing so would be subject to a whipping" because this would be seen as being defiant. I wore my KISS jacket the very next day. I took that "whipping" like a champ... " - Jerry Cloer/Drummer "I began listening to KISS when I was 7 in 1974. My best friends' older brother loved them, and I remember him being my introduction to Sabbath, Cooper, Priest, etc. My parents wouldn't let me buy any of their albums. So, I would sneak the family tape recorder with me when I would spend the night with my friend and hold the microphone in front of the speaker to record the records. Worked okay for me, and hence some of the first pirated material in the making. So, there you go..." - Kevin Davis/Bass Guitar "No other band has had more of an impact on my life than KISS. As a kid I remember listening to the KISS "Alive" album with my head between the speakers imagining myself being there at that show. Later as a teenager I got to see them live, and as an adult I had the privilege of meeting my childhood heroes in person. Both of these events made me feel like that kid with my head between the speakers. Any KISS fan will tell you KISS is more than a band it is a lifestyle." - Jeff Neal/Vocalist In addition; Steelwolf guitarist Warren Deatherage will be included in the recording as well as possible guest vocalist Jeremy Golden (Heaven and Hell Records owner) and Scott Board (NoLoveLost / Dimage /Cerebus)
