7 features 12 blistering new tracks, which mix old with new. Many of the tracks are fast paced and hark back to the early days whilst tracks such as "Superspy' and Empire Of Hate' sound akin to something off a modern OZZY album or even METALLICA at their best! Live N Lethal features 13 live tracks. Included is the entirety of classic 1983 debut album Loose N Lethal, which is given a fresh treatment in the form of a recently recorded gig in the band's hometown of Mansfield (UK). The Loose n Lethal album is delivered at a furious pace, along with a few choice tracks from the band's back catalogue.

Fun Fact: The song "Let it Loose" was covered by METALLICA on their first demo Hit the Lights. Stream the live version of the track from Live N Lethal at this location.

DIRE PERIL releases "The Extraterrestrial Compendium" album artwork and track list.

Sacramento, California based power metal band and past Focus on Metal guests DIRE PERIL have released the artwork and track list for their upcoming full length debut album "The Extraterrestrial Compendium" to be released during 2016.

Dire Peril guitarist Jason Ashcraft has checked in with the following comment:
The band just ran a successful indiegogo campaign to raise funds for the new album and as a promise for reaching our stretch goal, we are releasing the album cover artwork and track list early to the public. The artwork was created by french artist Gwen Vibancos.

Dire Peril - "The Extraterrestrial Compendium" track list:
01: TMA-0
02: Yautja (Hunter Culture)
03: Planet Preservation
04: Enemy Mine
05: The Visitor
06: Altar IV: The Forbidden Planet
07: Total Recall
08: Queen of the Galaxy*
09: Roughnecks
10: Blood in the Ice
11: Riddick's Fury
12: TMA-1
13: A Space Odyssey

The album will be mixed by Carlos Alvarez of Dirty Viking Audio Productions and will ultimately b mastered in France at Tower Studios (Ayreon, Megadeth)

Dire Peril
John Yelland - Vocals (Judicator)
Jason Ashcraft - Rhythm, Lead, Acoustic & Bass Guitars (Helion Prime)

Jason states: The new version of the song "Queen of the Galaxy" (2015) is a re-recording from the band's EP of the same name and will once again feature Unleash the Archers vocalist Brittney Slayes. "I always knew I would want to redo a song from one of the first Dire Peril EP's as the production was never quite there in terms of what I wanted for the band. When the time came to choose a song, I felt this one fit the theme of the album perfectly."

"The theme behind the album is that each song is based off a different sci-fi related film: Predator, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Enemy Mine, K-PAX, Forbidden Planet, Total Recall, Barbarella, Starship Troopers, The Thing, The Riddick Series and 2001: A Space Odyssey".

"I can't wait to get this album out. It has been a long time coming for Dire Peril to release a full length and honestly something that should have happened long ago. We are hard at work right now getting this album recorded and more news will follow to include the album release date".

JUDAS PRIEST UNLEASH NEW LIVE CD/DVD/BLU-RAY TITLED BATTLE CRY IN LATE MARCH

Judas Priest's tour in support of their 17th studio album overall, Redeemer of Souls, was one of the most extensive of the group's entire career - consisting of 130 shows in 33 countries, and offering a setlist that touched upon selections from nearly all of their classic albums. And now, fans can relive the live Priest experience once more, with the release of the new CD/DVD/Blu-ray, Battle Cry, on March 25th, 2016, via Epic Records (preview available for viewing here http://smarturl.it/JudasPriestDVD

Recorded live on August 1st, 2015 at Germany's Wacken Festival in front of an audience of 85,000, Battle Cry is available on a 15-track CD, with the entire show on Blu-ray and DVD (running over 94 minutes), as well as digital audio and video formats. The DVD and Blu-ray also contains 3 bonus tracks shot in Poland on December 10th, 2015 at The Ergo Arena, Gdansk, Poland.

What makes the show's track listing so appealing is it balances new classics ("Dragonaut," "Halls of Valhalla," "Redeemer of Souls") along with headbanging classics ("Metal Gods," "Electric Eye," "You've Got Another Thing Coming"), as well as key album tracks from yesteryear ("Devil's Child," "Beyond the Realms of Death," "Jawbreaker").

Originally formed during the early '70s in Birmingham, England, Priest is responsible for offering metal fans worldwide some of the genre's most influential and landmark albums (1980's 'British Steel,' 1982's 'Screaming for Vengeance,' 1990's 'Painkiller,' etc.), while helping spread metal music to audiences not normally associated with the genre (Live Aid in 1985, and a surprise appearance on American Idol in 2011), and helping popularize the now instantly recognizable "denim and leather" look.

For decades, Judas Priest has been one of the greatest live bands in the entire heavy metal genre. And as evidenced by Battle Cry, Priest rock harder and more ferociously than ever.

The Black Dahlia Murder announces USA tour with Fallujah and Disentomb; will play 'Unhallowed' album in its entirety; TBDM and guitarist Ryan Knight amicably part ways, announce touring guitarist

After releasing their new album, Abysmal, last year to critical acclaim and headlining both part I and part II of the massive IndieMerch Tour, The Black Dahlia Murder has announced another headlining trek - this time, taking the show back to their roots! With Fallujah and Disentomb as support, the band plans to play their first full-length, Unhallowed (2003), in its entirety during the run, performing at intimate venues across the USA that haven't seen The Black Dahlia Murder since their debut was released!

Trevor Strnad (vocals) comments: "We are very excited to unleash this absolutely crushing line-up upon you all and to play the much requested 'Unhallowed' album in its entirety. The songs are sounding better than ever before, and we can't wait for you to feast your ears on our debut album as it was meant to be heard. We will also be playing some bangers from our new album, 'Abysmal', and the rest of the catalog...Come out and bring your friends!"

Brandon Ellis will join The Black Dahlia Murder on the road as the band's touring guitarist and replacement for Ryan Knight, who amicably parted ways with the group. In regards to his departure, Ryan Knight comments: "After nearly 7 years with The Black Dahlia Murder, I feel the time has come for me to step down and focus on other aspects of my life. The decision to leave was very difficult, yet necessary I feel for me to ultimately be happy and keep moving forward. I feel very lucky to have had the best band-mates/crew (past and present) to traverse the world, guzzle beers, and bring the rock with every night...Thank you guys <3 a="" again="" all="" and="" at="" badassery.="" be="" being="" blade="" cool="" d="" domestic="" fans="" for="" general.="" general="" getting="" give="" guitar="" hardworking="" huge="" i="" in="" just="" like="" ll="" me="" meantime="" metal="" music="" new="" on="" our="" over="" people="" pretty="" records="" so="" still="" support="" teaching="" thank="" thanks="" the="" their="" to="" working="" years="" you="">

Trevor Strnad (vocals) adds: "When Ryan first joined the band, he drove from the hospital where his first child had just been born to begin practicing and writing with us, on the eve of the recording of our 'Deflorate' album. In his years with the band, he made a lot of sacrifices to be with us and uphold our insanely demanding touring and recording schedule...He always gave us 100 percent, and for that I thank him. He is an incredible musician and creative force...It was exciting to make new material with him, and his wealth of knowledge has left its stamp on the band's music forever. I always knew that his time in the band would be limited, and it has now come time for him to go home and be with his family. Ryan, being the stand-up dude that he is, told us of his plans to leave the band more than a year ago, and with heavy hearts we began to plan for The Black Dahlia Murder's future. We admire that Ryan went to such lengths to make his departure as easy on the band as possible, even going as far as to help us find a talented leadsman in Brandon Ellis - who has been lending us his tremendous guitar skills on the current TBDM tour...Knight is one of my best friends and I wish him the best in everything he does. He will always have a place here in the TBDM family. I look back at our time together with nothing but gratitude."

King's X re-issues, 'Gretchen Goes to Nebraska' and 'Faith Hope Love', now available via Metal Blade Records; band set to kick off west coast tour this month

Progressive masters King's X recently re-issued two of their classic albums, Gretchen Goes to Nebraska (1989) and Faith Hope Love (1990), via Metal Blade Records. Both available as a double vinyl, Faith Hope Love has also been re-packaged on CD with two bonus live tracks recorded in Cleveland in 1992. To purchase these limited re-issues, please visit: http://www.indiemerch.com/metalbladerecords/band/kings-x

King's X's second full-length, Gretchen Goes to Nebraska, is based loosely on a short story by drummer Jerry Gaskill and is considered a landmark in the band's 30+ year history. Containing many fan favorites - such as the power ballad "Summerland", plus "Mission" and "The Burning Down" - Gretchen Goes to Nebraska also features the track "Pleiades", which is credited by guitarist Ty Tabor as being the genesis of the King's X sound when he presented the demo to the other band members a few years earlier. Additionally, the album track "Over My Head" received considerable play on MTV and radio, and ultimately set the trio up for broader success on subsequent releases.

The follow-up to Gretchen Goes to Nebraska - Faith Hope Love - was released the next year in 1990 and landed in the Billboard Top 100, thus becoming the band's highest charting album at the time. Led by the radio single "It's Love", King's X also hit #6 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart - their highest chart position! To-date, Faith Hope Love is still King's X's most commercially successful album, reaching gold status in the USA.

This month, King's X will embark on a west coast tour in support of these classic albums (and more!), with Kings of Spade joining them on the run. See below for all dates.

Portuguese Epic Metallers RAVENSIRE Streaming New Cruz Del Sur Music album

The Cycle Never Ends, the new album from Portuguese Epic Metallers
RAVENSIRE, is now streaming in its entirety. Purchase and/or stream the album below:

The Cycle Never Ends is out now in North America on Cruz Del Sur Music. Order the CD at this location.

Formed in 2010, RAVENSIRE built a strong reputation in the European Underground Metal movement with their two previous albums Iron Will (2012) and We March Forward(2013). Given that RAVENSIRE's sound is genuinely devoted to the likes of OMEN, old MANOWAR, and BROCAS HELM, both albums were highly acclaimed by Epic Metal fans, fueling the band's songwriting on The Cycle Never Ends. The album will be available on CD, vinyl, and digital formats.

From the cover artwork (strongly recalling John Buscema's black and white art for the "Savage Sword of Conan" 70s comic - an appropriate reading to get along with Ravensire's music!)  to each one of the eight songs, The Cycle Never Ends shows the band's reaching maturity through an astonishingly intense performance.  Among more direct  tracks such as the opener "Cromlech Revelations" and "Crosshaven," the album's highlight is definitely the "White Pillars" trilogy, "a monumental epic piece connected to the history of Sintra, famed city not far from Lisbon. At the coastline, archaeologists dig the ruins of a watchtower built in the 16th century. Contemporary manuscripts mention that ancient written stones had been found (Part I, "Eternal Sun"). Under the ruins, they find the remains of a Moorish settlement, once subdued by the invading army of King Sigurd of Norway in the beginning of the 12th century (Part II, "Blood and Gold"). Finally, among the stones of the Moorish walls, the archaeologists find Roman altars and stones belonging to an ancient temple dedicated to the Sun, the Moon and the Ocean (Part III, "Temple at the End of the World").

Definitely recommended for fans of OMEN and old MANOWAR!

"If you are longing for an epic burly heavy metal album with manly sweat practically emanating from every note you just found one."

"The Cycle Never Ends is a very powerful statement from this young Portuguese band, and if you love epic, melodic power metal, Ravensire are quite easy to recommend."
 - Sea of Tranquility

"Portuguese epic metal militia Ravensire are poised to crush their enemies, see them driven before them and hear the lamentations of their women."
 - Decibel

"Eight tracks in the spirit of the old legends, without filler, all created in the pure essence of what epic metal is all about!"
- Iron Fist

"Rejoice in its majesty!" 8.5/10
 - Ave Noctum

"This is really well played, it's exciting, it's epic and it's a lot of fun."
 - Rock! Shop! Pop!

"Tremendous! You will not regret."
- Tradicion Metalica

"These Portuguese are on track! An excellent release!" 8.5/10
 - Metalbrothers

"Recommended for people who can't get enough of German Speed Metal from the 1980's as well as lovers of Epic Metal!"
- Metal Rules

"Get thee to the Ravensire or to Hell with you!"
- Angry Metal Guy

"Epic fans should definitely check this out!"
- Mega Metal

"Epic, true, traditionally produced heavy metal!"
- Bleeding 4 Metal

"A must-have for all who like true epic heavy metal! Excellent release!" 8.5/10

L.A. Thrashers ANGER AS ART Release Lyric Video for "Praise of the Firehead"

Los Angeles thrashers ANGER AS ART have released the second lyric video from upcoming Old School Metal Records album Ad Mortem Festinamus. Thrash 'em all with "Praise of the Firehead" at this location!

A lyric video for the song "Aim for the Heart" was released last month and is available for anger management here. Decibel also got in on the action with the exclusive premiere of "Tombward," which can be utilized for neighborhood destabilization at this location.  Bassist/vocalist Eric Bryan (ex-Necroscope), who appeared in critically acclaimed film Metal: A Headbangers Journey, wrote (and sings on) "Tombward."

ANGER AS ART will release Ad Mortem Festinamus March 11 on Old School Metal Records. On the highly anticipated follow-up to 2013 barnstormer Hubris, Inc. the quartet has done the improbable by creating a roaring thrash metal beast that doesn't just raise the bar; it crushes it into dust. Pre-order Ad Mortem Festinamus here.

Recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered by Ronald Sandoval at Rev Studios, Chino CA, Ad Mortem Festinamus (Latin translation: We Hurry into Death) is everything you've come to expect from ANGER AS ART...and more! Speeding recklessness, lacerating solos, and a shrapnel storm of riffs combine to make what will undoubtedly be considered one of 2016's fiercest forays into Thrash Metal Armageddon. Ad Mortem Festinamus is venomous, angry thrash/speed/death metal. If you feel that no one hears your voice and you're pissed about it, then this is the album for you...because everyone is angry, and ANGER is beautiful!

ANGER AS ART will play a CD Release show April 2nd at Malone's in Santa Ana, CA. Confirmed support acts so far include RESISTANCE and ANCIENT SPELL, with more to be announced soon.

"Eleven tracks of pure old school Thrash Metal from the Bay Area."
- Queens of Steel

"Anger As Art plays tight thrash metal and the similarities with the aggressive riffs of Slayer and the German classics like Sodom and Kreator are clear to hear."
 - Lords of Metal

"Thrash, speed, power 'n death!"
 - Taste of Khaos

"Anger As Art have blazed a path for other west coast thrash metal bands to follow."
- JP's Music Blog

"Being a lover of 80's thrash metal, this album is right up my alley."
Tania Zaia- Pitts of Metal Chaos

BIO
You may read a number of bios where bands will extol their virtues of being the next big thing, as important as Led Zeppelin, inventor of the wheel. ANGER AS ART doesn't do that.  They don't need to.

To know what ANGER AS ART is, one can look at what they have been since 2004.  A first rate, old school thrash metal band - rooted in the history created by the members of the band.   Take one look at their lineage - members of Abattoir, Evil Dead, Bloodlust, Hirax, Reverend, Bitch... and know where they are going.

Two World Tours, shows with Destruction, Overkill, Testament, Death Angel, Exodus, Saxon, Agent Steel, ex- Maiden vocalists Bayley and DiAnno, Tankard, Onslaught, Katatonia and many more.
