KINGDOM COME CELEBRATES DEBUT ALBUM WITH 30th ANNIVERSARY TOUR

KINGDOM COME CELEBRATES DEBUT ALBUM WITH 30th ANNIVERSARY TOUR
The hard rock band Kingdom Come was formed in1987 and quickly signed to Polydor Records.
Kingdom Come released their first single "Get It On" which held a stranglehold on rock radio in early 1988, prompting their self-titled debut album to ship gold.
The quintet, comprised of guitarists Danny Stag and Rick Steier, bassist Johnny B. Frank, drummer James Kottak, and singer Lenny Wolf, took to the road immediately as part of the North American “Monsters of Rock” Tour alongside Van Halen, Scorpions, Metallica, and Dokken. In addition to touring and extensive radio airplay, they also became MTV favorites with such videos as "Get It On" and "What Love Can Be" helping the band to sell over two million debut albums worldwide.

2018 marks the 30th anniversary of the release of that classic album prompting drummer James Kottak to revive Kingdom Come.
Along with original members Danny Stag, Rick Steier, Johnny B. Frank, a tour to commemorate the success of the band and album is born. Original singer Lenny Wolf declined to participate in the tour, but wishes the rest of the guys all the success and best in the world! Keith St. John (formerly of Montrose & Lynch Mob) will be stepping up to fill that large void, “but is definitely up to the job” according to the band members.

Guitarist Danny Stag says, “...we all love each other like brothers, get along, and laugh a lot. It's like a miracle that this is finally happening!" Bassist Johnny B. Frank adds, “It was 30 years ago The Wolf recruited us, The Rock produced us, MTV aired us and Van Halen made us Monsters Of Rock. Grateful to Rock another day!!!"

Kingdom Come will tour in 2018 – 2019 performing songs from their legendary debut album along with music from their second album In Your Face.

JACKYL CELEBRATE SILVER ANNIVERSARY WITH ‘25’ AND TOUR

It’s an incredible accomplishment when a rock band has been successful enough to reach the 25-year mark since the release of their first album.

And this year, raunchy southern rockers Jackyl have accomplished this feat, and are celebrating with an appropriately-titled compilation, ’25,’ which drops July 28 via Mighty Loud Records.

The 18-track set (which can be preordered via the band’s official site, jackyl.com) features such Jackyl radio hits as “Down on Me,” “The Lumberjack,” “Push Comes to Shove,” and “Favorite Sin,” as well as two previously unreleased tracks - a live rendition of “Redneck Punk,” as well as a cover of Black Oak Arkansas’ “Hot and Nasty.”

“At the time we first hit the scene, we were told by quite a few interviewers and fans that we sounded like a cross between Black Oak Arkansas and AC/DC,” explains Jackyl. “While we was very familiar with AC/DC, we were not with BOA. We went back and listened, and were blown away - so much so, that we recorded a cover of one of their most kick ass tunes, ‘Hot and Nasty,’ which is now finally getting its release on this comp.”

First bursting upon the scene with their self-titled, platinum-certified debut album in 1992, Jackyl has made a name for themselves as a killer live band that delivers night after night, and has continued to offer up good old fashioned blues boogie over the years, as evidenced on such subsequent albums as 1994’s gold-certified ‘Push Comes to Shove,’ all the way to their most recent release, 2016’s ‘Rowyco.’

“With this compilation, we are celebrating 25 years of Jackyl rock n’ roll - the fundamentals of rock n roll,” adds Jesse. “And beware - we are not slowing down anytime soon.”

‘25’ Tracklisting:

DIAMOND HEAD TO TOUR THE STATES WITH FIRST EVER USA FESTIVAL APPEARANCES

One of the most influential heavy metal bands of all time, Diamond Head, will be returning to the States for tour dates in May and in August. From May 17-27, the band - led by co-founding member/guitarist Brian Tatler - will be playing headline shows (and two dates with Ross the Boss, as well as a performance at the Legions of Metal Festival in Chicago with Armored Saint, and an appearance at Rocklahoma in Oklahoma). And then from August 19-25, Diamond Head will return to the US for another festival appearance (Psycho Vegas 2017 in Las Vegas), as well as additional headlining gigs.

“Excited to be back in the US this spring, playing songs from the new album ‘Diamond Head’ along with many classics from Lightning To The Nations, Borrowed Time & Canterbury’.” -Brian Tatler, 5/4/17

As part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal in the late ‘70s/early ‘80s, Diamond Head came up in the same scene as eventual global headliners Def Leppard and Iron Maiden. And while Diamond Head did not achieve the same commercial success as the aforementioned bands, they did influence countless subsequent musicians - especially Metallica, as it was a then-teenaged Lars Ulrich that befriended the band early on and became a major fan. Subsequently, Metallica has covered such Diamond Head classics as “Am I Evil,” “Helpless,” “The Prince,” and “It’s Electric” multiple times - on multiple platinum releases.

In addition to performing these classics at their upcoming U.S. shows, expect to also hear material performed off their latest release - 2016’s self-titled offering. Their seventh studio albums overall, the album has become one of their most critically acclaimed of their entire career - as evidenced by Classic Rock Magazine saying, "It just fu*kin' rocks in glorious timeless fashion" and Metal Hammer simply adding, "This is rather excellent."

And soon, many U.S. fans will get to see the legendary Diamond Head on a nearby concert stage.

"When we made 'Kill Em All', it was just Diamond Head and Motörhead"
Lars Ulrich - Metallica

"We're a combination of the two heads, Diamond Head and Motörhead. The epic feel is definitely from Diamond Head, while the simplicity came from Motörhead."
James Hetfield – Metallica

"I'm influenced by the likes of Paul McCartney, Jimmy Page and Brian Tatler".
Dave Mustaine - Megadeth

King's X re-issues, 'Gretchen Goes to Nebraska' and 'Faith Hope Love', now available via Metal Blade Records; band set to kick off west coast tour this month

Progressive masters King's X recently re-issued two of their classic albums, Gretchen Goes to Nebraska (1989) and Faith Hope Love (1990), via Metal Blade Records. Both available as a double vinyl, Faith Hope Love has also been re-packaged on CD with two bonus live tracks recorded in Cleveland in 1992. To purchase these limited re-issues, please visit: http://www.indiemerch.com/metalbladerecords/band/kings-x

King's X's second full-length, Gretchen Goes to Nebraska, is based loosely on a short story by drummer Jerry Gaskill and is considered a landmark in the band's 30+ year history. Containing many fan favorites - such as the power ballad "Summerland", plus "Mission" and "The Burning Down" - Gretchen Goes to Nebraska also features the track "Pleiades", which is credited by guitarist Ty Tabor as being the genesis of the King's X sound when he presented the demo to the other band members a few years earlier. Additionally, the album track "Over My Head" received considerable play on MTV and radio, and ultimately set the trio up for broader success on subsequent releases.

The follow-up to Gretchen Goes to Nebraska - Faith Hope Love - was released the next year in 1990 and landed in the Billboard Top 100, thus becoming the band's highest charting album at the time. Led by the radio single "It's Love", King's X also hit #6 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart - their highest chart position! To-date, Faith Hope Love is still King's X's most commercially successful album, reaching gold status in the USA.

This month, King's X will embark on a west coast tour in support of these classic albums (and more!), with Kings of Spade joining them on the run. See below for all dates.

Finnish Folk Metal Titans ENSIFERUM Announce North American Tour With Korpiklaani

One Man Army Full-Length To Drop Next Tuesday

Finnish folk metal titans, ENSIFERUM, will return to North America this Spring on a co-headlining tour with country-mates, Korpiklaani. Scheduled to commence on May 6th in Los Angeles, the band will level nearly two dozen cities with the trek coming to a close on May 29th in New York City. Additional support will be provided by Trollfest. The tour follows the band's European march alongside Insomnium and Omnium Gatherum next month. Tickets are on sale today. See all confirmed dates below.

ENSIFERUM will be touring in support of their One Many Army full-length, set to drop in North America this Tuesday via Metal Blade Records. Crowned "warlike and fiery" by MetalSucks, ENSIFERUM's predominantly analog-recorded One Man Army wields eleven stunning tracks of the band's signature synthesis of Viking, folk and power metal swathed in fantastical themes of Scandinavian lore, captured by award-winning producer Anssi Kippo (Children Of Bodom, Impaled Nazarene, Entwine etc.) at Astia-Studios in Lappeenranta, Finland.

In anticipation of its release, the band recently partnered with Spotfiy to bring fans a stream of the record in its entirety. Hosted by Decibel Magazine, each day Spotify added an additional One Man Army track to their player leading up to the record's final descent. Listen to One Man Army, now streaming in its entirety, at THIS LOCATION.

Forged in 1995 as a trio by guitarist/vocalist Markus Toivonen, and presently featuring current and former members of October Falls, Rapture, Norther, Barathrum and Sinergy, ENSIFERUM has been flying the flag of epic, folk-infused death metal high and proud for two decades. The band's One Man Army full-length will be released in North America via Metal Blade Records on February 24th, 2015 and includes an accompanying four-track bonus CD. Preorder bundles for One Man Army are currently available at metalblade.com/ensiferum where you'll also find the band's recently debuted "One Man Army" video and companion making-of footage. "Finland's ENSIFERUM have long traded in their designation as a 'folk metal' group, but on the band's sixth studio album the metal side of that label is decidedly dominant. And it's epic metal at that: 'One Man Army' blasts forth with symphonic guitar orchestrations, double-time drum gallops, quick-changing dynamics and operatic vocal chorales that would make 19th century homeboys Pacius and Sibelius proud." -- Revolver

"ENSIFERUM have produced their most polished album to date; one that bulges with bombast and rages with frostbitten grit… these northern sword-wielders are close to finding the perfect recipe for taking folk into the mainstream of metal - all without losing a shred of authenticity." - Metal Hammer

"…warlike and fiery…a perfect example of the band's standout sound: it's definitely a genre piece, but it's the best of its kind." - MetalSucks

"One Man Army is ENSIFERUM at their finest. The three years between releases worked to the band's benefit as their execution and adventurous songwriting finds them with a renewed passion and energy." - About.com

"Like a powerful drink, after twenty years, ENSIFERUM keeps the strength intact and adds a bit of a sweet scent in this new release." - Against Magazine

"ENSIFERUM has become one of folk metal's finest acts…ENSIFERUM's music awakens one's inner warrior… it's a pity fighting to the death with swords and battle axes is illegal nowadays." -- Loudwire
