Portuguese Epic Metallers RAVENSIRE Streaming New Cruz Del Sur Music album

The Cycle Never Ends, the new album from Portuguese Epic Metallers
RAVENSIRE, is now streaming in its entirety. Purchase and/or stream the album below:

The Cycle Never Ends is out now in North America on Cruz Del Sur Music. Order the CD at this location.

Formed in 2010, RAVENSIRE built a strong reputation in the European Underground Metal movement with their two previous albums Iron Will (2012) and We March Forward(2013). Given that RAVENSIRE's sound is genuinely devoted to the likes of OMEN, old MANOWAR, and BROCAS HELM, both albums were highly acclaimed by Epic Metal fans, fueling the band's songwriting on The Cycle Never Ends. The album will be available on CD, vinyl, and digital formats.

From the cover artwork (strongly recalling John Buscema's black and white art for the "Savage Sword of Conan" 70s comic - an appropriate reading to get along with Ravensire's music!)  to each one of the eight songs, The Cycle Never Ends shows the band's reaching maturity through an astonishingly intense performance.  Among more direct  tracks such as the opener "Cromlech Revelations" and "Crosshaven," the album's highlight is definitely the "White Pillars" trilogy, "a monumental epic piece connected to the history of Sintra, famed city not far from Lisbon. At the coastline, archaeologists dig the ruins of a watchtower built in the 16th century. Contemporary manuscripts mention that ancient written stones had been found (Part I, "Eternal Sun"). Under the ruins, they find the remains of a Moorish settlement, once subdued by the invading army of King Sigurd of Norway in the beginning of the 12th century (Part II, "Blood and Gold"). Finally, among the stones of the Moorish walls, the archaeologists find Roman altars and stones belonging to an ancient temple dedicated to the Sun, the Moon and the Ocean (Part III, "Temple at the End of the World").

Definitely recommended for fans of OMEN and old MANOWAR!

"If you are longing for an epic burly heavy metal album with manly sweat practically emanating from every note you just found one."

"The Cycle Never Ends is a very powerful statement from this young Portuguese band, and if you love epic, melodic power metal, Ravensire are quite easy to recommend."
 - Sea of Tranquility

"Portuguese epic metal militia Ravensire are poised to crush their enemies, see them driven before them and hear the lamentations of their women."
 - Decibel

"Eight tracks in the spirit of the old legends, without filler, all created in the pure essence of what epic metal is all about!"
- Iron Fist

"Rejoice in its majesty!" 8.5/10

SACRAL RAGE Streaming 'Illusions in Infinite Void' in its Entirety

Illusions in Infinite Void, the full-length debut from Greek Heavy Metal Force SACRAL RAGE is out now on Cruz Del Sur Music. The album is streaming in its entirety at this location

Illusions in Infinite Void can be ordered here.

Illusions in Infinite Void is a monumental piece of Metal from start to finish. Indeed it's an ever-changing Metal vortex with countless rhythmic-changes and  no weak moments, a tense state of aggression in which singer Dimitri's excellent performance and the textured guitar lines stand out.  The band plays U.S. style metal with some European influences. Acts such as JAG PANZER, ANNIHILATOR, MERCYFUL FATE, JUDAS PRIEST, WATCHTOWER, and RUSH are major influences.  Lyrics about horror, supernatural, dark fantasy, soul searching, forbidden religions, perfectly match the band's  dark, aggressive, technical and paranoid music.

On Illusions in Infinite Void, the band proves to be more than just a mere replica of the most influential bands of  the Golden Age of (especially) U.S .Metal. Hand in hand with a granitic rhythmic session, their songs turn, change and evolve endlessly into a wide variety of riffs, screams and roars!  SACRAL RAGE have undoubtedly written one of the most inspired releases of 2015.

1. Harbinger
2. En Cima Del Mal
3. Lost Chapter E.: Sutratma
4. Panic in Urals (Burning Skies)
5. Waltz in Madness
6. Into Mental East
7. Inner Sanctum Asylum
8. A Tyrannous Revolt
9. Lost Chapter E.: Amarna's Reign

"Astonishing riff-centric brilliance."

"If you write killer metal, it will be entertaining by its very nature. Sacral Rage achieves this with every vocal wail, jittery thrash riff, and intense forward drive."

"High-Pitched Terrorism! I'm pretty sure that if this album had been released back in 1987, today we would all wait desperately for an anniversary tour."
-  Metal Hammer (GR), 9/10

"Revisiting classic heavy/power metal with some skill and creativity"
- DangerDog.com 4.5/5

"Their enthusiasm for classic metal is infectious!"
- Angry Metal Guy

"A good dose of speed and progressive metal! Fine album!"

Cruz Del Sur Music Releasing Debut Album from Hammer King in 2015

CRUZ DEL SUR MUSIC will release the debut album from new German epic power metal sensation HAMMER KING! Even though Kingdom of the Hammer King is their debut album, HAMMER KING's members are no novices.  Singer Patrick Fuchs (Titan Fox)  is known for being the lead vocalist of ROSS THE BOSS' solo project (and also IVORY NIGHTS), and drummer Herr Schmitt  is the former drummer of Germany's Top-Ten Rock outfit SALTATIO MORTIS. What emerges from the gathering of these stalwart metal musicians is a slab of traditional, epic power-metal in the best Teutonic tradition!

APOSTLE OF SOLITUDE Release New Song from Upcoming Album

APOSTLE OF SOLITUDE's Of Woe and Wounds will be released November 4 in North America on Cruz Del Sur Music

U.S. Doomsters APOSTLE OF SOLITUDE have released a new song from upcoming album Of Woe and Wounds. You can stream "Whore's Wings" at this location.

Previously demoed on Bandcamp and Reverbnation, "Whore's Wings" has been completely re-recorded for the new album. The track shows a more dynamic and aggressive side of APOSTLE OF SOLITUDE'S sound, and together with the previously released track "Luna" gives a better idea of what to expect from Of Woe and Wounds. Unlike many doom bands, APOSTLE OF SOLITUDE prefer a multifaceted approach that mixes their trademark granitic, oppressive sound with many other elements of traditional metal

APOSTLE OF SOLITUDE's Of Woe and Wounds will rank among the heaviest album of 2014. From the 7-minute opener "Blackest of Times" to the ending "Luna," APOSTLE OF SOLITUDE deliver an incredible performance that gives full sense to the sometimes-abused term "DOOM". Mastered by Tony Reed (producer of last SAINT VITUS' album "Lillie: F-65"), this album confirms APOSTLE OF SOLITUDE as a versatile, multi-dimensional doom band that offers the most Sabbath-inspired sound around these days, blended with personal, oppressive yet dynamic atmospheres such as those found in "Push Mortal Coil" or "Whore's Wings" (re-recorded hits from their 2012's demo), or the long and haunting "Die Vicar Die".

The album also features the extraordinary work of talented Artist David Csicsely known for his illustrations of Mournful Congregation, Solitude Aeternus, Wheel, Flight of Sleipnir releases. The album was recorded by Mike Bridavsky at Russian) in Bloomington, IN and later mastered by Tony Reed  (SAINT VITUS' "Lillie: F-65). DOOM has never been so HEAVY! The vinyl version will contain two bonus live tracks.

Mausoleum Gate Premieres "Lost Beyond the Sun" with Bravewords

"Lost Beyond the Sun" from MAUSOLEUM GATE's upcoming self-titled debut is now streaming exclusively at Bravewords.com. Cruz Del Sur Music will release the album on October 7 in North America.

Stream "Lost Beyond the Sun" here.

Rarely in the past few years has any metal scene's newcomer has been able to craft such authentic sounding, classic heavy metal music with the  passion and energy that MAUSOLEUM GATE put into their debut album. Their appearance on the scene out-of-nowhere came so unexpectedly and shockingly, but immediately turned some heads, as the band has been invited to play the next edition of famous German "Keep It True Festival" in April 2015.

Inspired by the late 70s / early 80s metal sound, these Finnish lads know perfectly where to hit to provoke the most positive reactions among fans of the NWOBHM's sound, die-hard aficionados of the twisting sounds of CIRITH UNGOL, and lovers of 70s rock greats such as the SCORPIONS and URIAH HEEP. The presence of unusual keys (Mellotron and Organ mainly) gives this album a spooky and somewhat tragic atmosphere, with long suites such as "Lost Beyond the Sun" and "Mausoleum Gate" serving as the highest peaks of an opera prima that will not pass unobserved.

Omniscient marks the return of the originators of the 'Progressive Power Metal' movement  10 years after their last full length studio recording. It features the powerful metal melodies of founding members Steve Kachinsky Blakmoor and Rick Mythiasin.

This teaser follows the release of two video clips, both filmed by Agent Steel guitarist Bernie Versailles and featuring original artworks by acclaimed German artist Timo Würz. View the video clips at the links below:

DARKEST ERA Release New Video; "Severance" Streaming in Full

Celtic metal band DARKEST ERA have released a new video for the track 'Beyond the Grey Veil' on the same day that the band's new album, Severance receives its European release via Cruz Del Sur. The video can be seen HERE.

Speaking about the new video, Guitarist Ade Mulgrew said:
"'Beyond the Grey Veil' is the thematic centerpiece of the album. All roads lead to that song in some ways and it's pretty representative of the kind of atmosphere we wanted to conjure up on Severance. Even Costin Chioreanu based the album artwork on it. The video was directed by Angus Mitchell, an extremely talented guy who was instantly on the same page as us in terms of the aesthetic we wanted to achieve."

Already receiving positive reviews worldwide, Severance is streaming in its entirety at: http://cruzdelsurmusic.bandcamp.com/album/severance-2

To purchase Severance on CD, visit the link below:

Vinyl treatment for Severance is expected in July of this year. For updates, stay tuned to www.cruzdelsurmusic.com.

Since their formation in 2005, DARKEST ERA have progressed their special and original 'Celtic Heavy Metal' formula, with epic compositions influenced by the darker side of Irish folklore as well as the classic, double twin-guitar dueling of bands like Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden. The new album shows more of this perfectly balanced formula with a more reflective spirit than in the past, but maintaining the untouched energetic vibe that has been the main characteristic of the band to date. The album was recorded at Data Recording Studios in Ballyheigue, Ireland and produced by Chris Fielding and Darkest Era. The artwork was created by Costin Chioreanu.

"Darkest Era is the most unique and adventurous metal band come out of Ireland since Primordial." - Dead Rhetoric

"Severance is a blood pumping, fist raising epic triumph.  An excellent sophomore outing."
- Terrible Certainty 'Zine

"Severance is the sound of a remarkable band wholly at peace with itself" - Last Rites

"This is Celtic metal redefined, the next wave of the Irish scene." - New Noise (5/5)

"The core is melodic Maiden-esque metal - harmonized guitars and clean-sung choruses full of bluster and power - but Darkest Era incorporate anything and everything, from black metal tremolo riffs to folkish doom, all bent to the will of classic songwriting." - Stereogum

STEEL PROPHET: "Omniscient" Coming July 8 on Cruz Del Sur Music; New Video Posted

Cruz del Sur Music is proud to announce the July 8 release of Omniscient, the first new studio albums in 10 years from originators of the U.S. Progressive Power Metal Movement STEEL PROPHET. The band returns with their classic sound led by Steve Kachinsky Blakmoor (guitarist and founding member) and by veteran metal singer Rick Mythiasin.  The recording lineup is completed by Vince Dennis (bass), Chris Schleyer (guitar), and Jimmy Schultz (drums); after the recording original drummer John Tarascio, and guitarist John Paget returned to the band together.

Omniscient is composed of 12 songs based on an original story written by Kachinsky.  The idea of telling a story throughout a whole album is similar to STEEL PROPHET's 1999 classic Dark Hallucinations, which featured the "Fahrenheit 451" story by Ray Bradbury. Famous German Artist Timo Würz was hired to create the amazing cover artwork, and 12 original booklet illustrations to go with the lyrics and story itself. The album also contains a 13th song, a cover of QUEEN's "Bohemian Rhapsody," which was successfully presented by the band at the 2013 edition of the Keep It True Festival in Germany; a video clip of the event will see the light shortly before the release of Omniscient. The album will be released in limited edition 36-page digibook, regular compact disc, limited gate-fold double LP and digital download.

A new video for album cut "666 is Everywhere (The Heavy Metal Blues)" has just been released and can be viewed at this location

Although STEEL PROPHET is not well known for always being humorous, the whimsy of the lyrics is reflected in the video clip shot by AGENT STEEL/REDEMPTION guitarist Bernie Versailles. About the song Kachinsky says "Steel Prophet knows metal fans have a fascination with the numbers "666". And when you're in a metal band trying to make a living, sometimes it seems like 666 is Everywhere!"

"This album is basically a riff monster, slamming you first with a wall of guitars and then firing off bunches of heavy metal solos." - DangerDog.com

"Every time I walk away from the damn-near perfect sixty minutes of Blood of Legends, I can't shake the feeling that I've just heard the purest distillation of something essential. If a band like Battleroar has to toil in relative obscurity, then we should sing their hymns of iron and wine all the louder, all together." - Last Rites

DARKEST ERA Reveal Artwork and Track Listing for "Severance"

Northern Ireland's Darkest Era have revealed the cover artwork and track listing for their forthcoming album Severance which is due for release on June 3rd (US) and June 13th (Europe) via Cruz Del Sur. The album was recorded at Data Recording Studios in Ballyheigue, Ireland and produced by Chris Fielding and Darkest Era. The artwork was created by Costin Chioreanu.

  2. Songs Of Gods And Men
  3. The Serpent And The Shadow

DARK FOREST was forged in the Black Country, England by guitarist Christian Horton. For just over a decade they have been delivering their uniquely rousing, defiant heavy metal to the world. With the release of their self-made EPs in 2007, the band quickly gained the attention and support of the heavy metal underground, both in England and abroad, and then went from strength to strength, gigging across Europe and the UK and releasing their self titled debut album in 2009, then Dawn of Infinity in 2011.

In 2012 DARK FOREST recruited the outstanding vocalist Josh Winnard as their new front man and shortly afterwards also gained the incredible talents of guitarist Pat Jenkins. With this new line up, the band immediately began writing fresh material and entered the recording studio in June 2013 to produce their third album The Awakening.

The album is recorded in 444hz instead of the standardized 440hz tuning. The decision was based by studying the lost "Solfeggio frequencies", original sound frequencies which were apparently used in Ancient Gregorian Chants and were believed to impart "spiritual blessings when sung in harmony"* and also by studying the nefarious origins of 440hz. Tuning to 444hz corresponds to a "C" of 528hz on the Solfeggio Frequency Scale, the exact frequency used by genetic biochemists to repair broken DNA.  This frequency is also believed to encourage "Transformation and Miracles."

DARK FOREST's innate sense of melody remains intact on The Awakening, as well as the band's trademarked epic twin-guitar dueling, but this time the album is permeated by a general sense of oppression and sorrow and sounds much more reflective than their previous works. Not by coincidence, The Awakening opens with the ending lines of Percy Bysshe Shelley's poem " The Mask of Anarchy" and ends with the anthem "Sons of England".  The awakening must be both spiritual and intellectual and through the rediscovery of our roots and a connection to nature, must lead all humanity to remember the truth - that we are infinite consciousness and we are one. This is the realization that will defeat the global control system of the elite and set humanity free.
