Carlos Cavazo & Paul Shortino Recall The Making of Quiet Riot's 1988 "QR" Release on This Weeks Focus on Metal

Episode 392 - QR at 30

30 years ago this month Quiet Riot released QR (aka QR IV, Quiet Riot, or Quiet Riot IV).
It wasn’t the classic lineup of the band in fact only drummer Frankie Banali and Carlos Cavazo remained from prior incarnations. This time the band was fronted by veteran singer Paul Shortino and Sean McNabb replaced the recently departed Chuck Wright. All these changes conspired to make this release a tough one to sell to the fans. Quiet Riot would not release another album for five years when Kevin Dubrow was welcomed back into the fold with the 1993 release “Terrified”. Despite that, lots of folks do like this one so Richie decided to contact Carlos and Paul and pose some questions to them about this album on its 30th anniversary.

And if this gets you in the mood for some more of this lineup, check out Rough Riot
