Metal Blade Records and RED Music launch "6 Bands in 60 Seconds" campaign

In conjunction with RED Music, Metal Blade Records has launched a new campaign, entitled "6 Bands in 60 Seconds", where CEO Brian Slagel spotlights 6 developing artists from the label's roster. With plans to select 6 new bands once every three months, the goal of the promotion is to help fans discover new music from some of the most promising acts in the scene. The first installment of the series (featuring Act of Defiance, Rivers of Nihil, Twitching Tongues, Culture Killer, Visigoth, and Harlott) can be viewed at the following locations:

Metal Blade Records declares Trenton Titans the official hockey team of metal

February 11th, 2013 - Los Angeles-based Metal Blade Records, who recently celebrated their 30^th anniversary in 2012, have partnered with the Trenton Titans declare them as metal's official hockey team. The two brands will be launching various cross-promotions over the next few months, primarily through both company's array of social networks. The Trenton Titans play in the ECHL the premier "AA" hockey league and are the proud affiliate to the Philadelphia Flyers in the NHL and the Adirondack Phantoms in the AHL.

The Trenton Titans host a weekly Google+ and YouTube live video feed. On the show, Titans GM Rich Lisk discusses the latest games, player moves, promotions, a top 10 related to current events in Titans Nation and a question and answer segment. Previous broadcasts are available on the Trenton Titans YouTube channel. The Trenton Titans are about halfway through their regular season as part of the ECHL's Eastern Atlantic divison, with the remaining schedule available on trentontitanshockey.com.
