As many of you know, the music industry has changed drastically over the past 15 years. Gone are the days of gold-plated-shark-tank-bars and artists actually making a living after signing a record deal. LORDS OF THE TRIDENT to headline Day 1 of the MIDWEST METAL ANTHEM FESTIVAL in Chicago.

LORDS OF THE TRIDENT will be headlining Day 1 of the 2015 Midwest Metal Anthem festival to be held on August 21-22, 2015 at the Chicago Star Bar in Chicago Ridge, Illinois.

Lead vocalist Fang VonWrathenstein has checked in with the following update:

"We are extremely excited to be headlining the first night of the Midwest Metal Anthem festival in Chicago! It's not often that you have this many experienced true metal warriors in one place, and we are humbled to be chosen to lead the charge into battle. Normally, two-day festivals that we headline are doomed, because we usually end up destroying the venue or stage due to the crushing sound waves that emanate from our amps...not to mention all the fire and explosions! But something tells me that these fans are no "wimps and posers" - I believe they'll be able to stand up to our sonic onslaught, or at the very worst, quickly rebuild the stage. We will see! Prepare yourselves, Chicago, for your LORDS come to do battle!"

Maxxxwell Carlisle releases LOUDNESS cover. Details for new solo album.

As discussed on Focus on Metal, HELLION lead guitarist and solo artist Maxxxwell Carlisle has released a cover of "Like Hell", originally recorded by Japanese metal legends

LOUDNESS on their 1985 "Thunder in the East" album. Featuring Fang VonWrathenstein (Lords of the Trident) on vocals, the cover track is one of several

singles to be released for Carlisle's upcoming full length solo album which will feature covers and new original material.

The new album, entitled "When The Clock Strikes Metal", will be Maxxxwell's 6th solo album and features a host of guest vocalists and guitarists.

"I've long been a huge fan of LOUDNESS and in particular, Akira Takasaki's guitar playing. My upcoming album features covers as well as originals

so it was a perfect opportunity to pay tribute to some of my favorite players and bands."

In addition to his upcoming solo album, Maxxxwell continues to work with HELLION on a new live album, new studio tracks and touring.

LORDS OF THE TRIDENT have released a lyric video for the song "Winds of the Storm" from their new upcoming cd "Frostburn" which is scheduled to be released on February 13, 2015 throughout Europe via German record label "Killer Metal Records" and the rest of the world via "Junko Johnson Records".

LORDS OF THE TRIDENT launch new album Kickstarter campaign / Sign with KILLER METAL RECORDS

American heavy metal band Lords of the Trident have launched their Kickstarter campaign for their new full-length 5th album entitled "Frostburn".

The new album was engineered and produced by Doug Olson (Smashing Pumpkins, Cheap Trick, Niirvana), who also produced their last 2013 release "Plan of Attack".

Lead barbarian singer Fang VonWrathenstein says, "This album is the best album we've ever recorded, and we think our fans will agree. We expect the number of album-related headbanging-induced deaths to skyrocket once this album is released!"
