SATAN Announces First U.S. Live Dates

Legendary NWOBHM band SATAN have announced a series of live dates in the U.S. and Europe.

SATAN is a heavy metal band originating from Newcastle, England in 1980, known as part of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal movement. Though generally obscure throughout their career, the band is considered influential for playing a form of proto-thrash metal that was fairly advanced by the standards of the early 1980s.

Their 1983 debut album, Court In The Act, is now widely-acclaimed and regarded by many as the pinnacle of their career, during which the band's line-up underwent a number of personnel changes and even changes in band name, releasing albums under the name of BLIND FURY and PARIAH, before folding in 1990. Guitarist Steve Ramsey and bassist Graeme English went on to found folk metal band SKYCLAD, while vocalist Brian Ross reformed his original band BLITZKRIEG.

SATAN remained inactive until re-assembling for a one-off gig at Germany's Wacken Open Air in 2004, and finally reunited in their original Court In The Act line-up for 2011's Keep It True festival. The band performed at several european festivals in 2011 and 2012 and have announced more festival shows and even a new album for 2013, to mark the 30th anniversary of Court In The Act's release. Bow to your knees, SATAN was back with its new album Life Sentence, released in April 2013 on Listenable Records.

MARS RED SKY Signs with Listenable Records

Considered one of the greats of the European stoner rock scene, France's MARS RED SKY have gained international recognition due to a unique sound, based on thick infectious grooves and melodic aerial guitar riffs. This is truly a one of a kind experience, wrapped up by Julien Pras' ethereal vocals, Matgaz' powerful rhythms and Jimmy Kinast's pachydermic bass lines. Somewhere between doom metal and 70s psyche pop, MARS RED SKY intrigues and attracts the masses to celebrate this cosmic ritual of solar burning fuzz and reverberated atmospheres.

Driven by the huge success of their eponymous debut record, recorded in Spain's mystic Bardenas Desert and released in 2011, the band was invited to play on the largest European stages with Kyuss Lives!, Dinosaur Jr. and Sleep, as well as popular festivals like Eurockéennes de Belfort, Roadburn, London & Berlin Desertfests, Sziget Festival and SXSW (USA). All in all, MARS RED SKY has played in more than 20 countries. 

With their incredibly heavy and hypnotic performances, MARS RED SKY have been considered as one of the most thrilling live acts among the international stoner rock scene. In 2012, they paired up with French doom metal monsters Year Of No Light to release a three-track split record, which sold out in a blink of an eye.

The release of their Be My Guide EP in 2013 opened the path for an extensive tour across Europe, then across the Atlantic for gigs in Latin America. This is where the band recorded their new album, due out this spring on Listenable Records. KAYSER Reveals New Album Details, Title Track

Swedish thrash purists KAYSER, who recently signed a long-term deal with Listenable Records, have revealed the cover art, track listing and title track from their forthcoming album, Read Your Enemy.  The album is set for release in early 2014 on Listenable Records. The band comments on their newest offering: 

"Incorporating the fundamentals of rock and metal with vivid musicianship KAYSER bring you 'Read your Enemy.' With a track listing of songs that have always been there but you would not find anywhere else, the album boasts organic stamina and confidence. With superior riffing and catchiness, a mass appeal is to be expected. The neck-breaking title track 'Read Your Enemy' originated from Swaney as a double-stomp, classic, palm-muted heavy riffer. The chorus riff with its time change was added together with Jokke to display contrast to the main riff. A sign of opposites which is commonly ubiquitous in KAYSER's songwriting. IZEGRIM Reveal New Song and Artwork From "Congress of the Insane"

Dutch thrash/death metallers IZEGRIM have released a new song off their forthcoming Listenable Records release, Congress of the Insane. The song, entitled "Relic of the Past," is now streaming via Listenable Records' Soundcloud page at this location.   The follow up to 2011's Code of Consequences, Congress of the Insane is a concept album based on the evil in the deceiving human nature. OTARGOS Signs With Listenable Records

French blackened death metal mongers OTARGOS have inked a worldwide deal with Listenable Records for the release of the band's recently completed new album, Apex Terror. 

Apex Terror displays a fresher, stripped down and more intense style of songwriting that draws from the catchier end of death metal and obscure thrash.  Lyrically, the album is an exploration of the darker side of humanity. Apex Terror will be out in North America in the fall of 2013.

INCANTATION Comments on Live Dates

After a successful string of US dates, death metal legends INCANTATION are set to take their newest masterpiece, Vanquish in Vengeance, to Europe for appearances in Paris, Switzerland and at the Neurotic Death Fest in Holland. Before heading across the pond, INCANTATION will make a stop in Miami, FL for a night of decimation with Hibernus Mortis, Ulcer and Masticator. The band issued the following statement regarding their recent live activities, 

"While the 'old world' awaits us in the near future, here stateside was a furious and ruthless number of shows. Ohio, Texas and New York mark the first live performances for our new Vanquish in Vengeance album. 

The staff of the Shrunken Head in Columbus made things go smoothly while the sick as fuck bands we had the pleasure of jamming with made it all the more awesome. Many hails to Soulless and The Council Beneath the Sea for their help and absolutely shredding. And of course everyone who attended the slaughter that night! Next was Houston to headline the Masters of Death fest. Been many years since the bands' return. French death/black metal outfit SVART CROWN has set May 21st as the North American release date for their third full-length, Profane.  

SVART CROWN is a that band has been willing to break the genre boundaries enhancing lethal grooves in a sadistic manner that won't leave any listener in a safe and comfy world. 

The main theme on Profane is full-introspection about humanity sickness and SVART CROWN deliver the soundtrack of a bleak world that has already ended to their eyes with this album. THE OMEGA EXPERIMENT To Release Self-Titled Debut On Listenable Records

Michigan prog metal duo THE OMEGA  EXPERIMENT will release their self-titled full-length debut on April 9th (North America) via Listenable Records.  Like their  fellow modern prog artists,  THE OMEGA EXPERIMENT create a massive sound with home equipment and have no fear of experimentation and rule breaking. The guitars are big and technical and layered with keyboard sounds reminiscent of Dream Theater and Queensryche. The vocals range from powerful lead lines, big harmonies and demonic screams in the vein of Devin Townsend and Mike Patton. The band's inspiration comes from guitarist/vocalist Dan addressing the last 10 years of his life, focusing on his excess and drug abuse which took him to a dark place and his determination to move onto a brighter future. The Omega Experiment was originally self-released by the band as a digital download via bandcamp and iTunes to much critical acclaim. Acclaim is something the band is no stranger to either, as they earned the praise of Devin Townsend on the very night the Karma EP was released in early 2011. Via Twitter, Townsend was quoted as saying, "Actually listening now...great great work man! Seriously great stuff Dan, I fully back it and appreciate the effort you've invested I wish all luck!" SATAN Reveals Artwork For "Life Sentence"

Legendary British heavy metal band SATAN will release Life Sentence, their first studio full-length under the SATAN banner since 1987's Suspended Sentence, on April 29th in Europe and in May in the U.S.

The cover art for the album (pictured below) was drawn by famed artist Eliran Kantor (SODOM, TESTAMENT, HATEBREED - www.elirankantor.com) and depicts a similar graphic concept as their 1983 debut, Court In The Act. Mixed by Dario Mollo at Damage Inc. Studio in Italy and tracked late last year at First Avenue in Newcastle, Life Sentence is a very strong uptempo heavy metal album that will undoubtedly become a metal classic. 

Fittingly, Life Sentence will mark the 30th anniversary of their greatly acclaimed debut Court In The Act. The new album will also feature the same line-up that appeared on that now-classic piece of metal history.

SATAN are a heavy metal band originating from Newcastle, England in 1980, known as part of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal movement. Though generally obscure throughout their career, the band is considered influential for playing a form of proto-thrash metal that was fairly advanced by the standards of the early 1980s. SATAN remained inactive until re-assembling for a one-off gig at Germany's Wacken Open Air in 2004, and finally reunited in their original Court In The Act line-up for 2011's Keep It True festival. The band performed at several european festivals in 2011 and 2012 and have announced more festival shows and new album for 2013, to mark the 30th anniversary of their debut release.

Listenable Records is proud to introduce prog metal mongers THE OMEGA  EXPERIMENT. Very few young bands have shown so much enthusiasm and passion for the music they enjoy listening and playing with so much professionalism and we fully support that. Michigan's THE OMEGA EXPERIMENT, founded by duo Dan Wieten and Ryan Aldridge, describes their sound as '"heavy guitars, euphoric synths and rich layered vocals come together to create a wall of progressive rock lushness.'" Like their  fellow modern prog artists,  THE OMEGA EXPERIMENT create a massive sound with home equipment and have no fear of experimentation and rule breaking. The guitars are big and technical and layered with keyboard sounds reminiscent of Dream Theater and Queensryche. The vocals range from powerful lead lines, big harmonies and demonic screams in the vein of Devin Townsend and Mike Patton. The band's inspiration comes from guitarist/vocalist Dan addressing the last 10 years of his life, focusing on his excess and drug abuse which took him to a dark place and his determination to move onto a brighter future. THE OMEGA EXPERIMENT has been lucky enough to receive public praise from Devin Townsend on multiple occasions, most notably on his Twitter account the night they unleashed their Karma EP to the masses for free on Bandcamp. They played everywhere they could in order to draw attention and generate more fans which worked successfully.    After The Donnas and Nashville Pussy quickly took notice of this new raging and promising opening act, STICKY BOYS were asked to play live in an advert for the French national train company, which drew everyone in the attendance headbanging their heads off!. The ad caused real chaos nationally and increased the band 's ever growing fan base big time!.
