RIVAL SONS announced as special guests for DEEP PURPLE European tour

Long Beach, California's RIVAL SONS have been announced as special guests for a European tour with British rock legends DEEP PURPLE.

The tour follows an impressive list of achievements for RIVAL SONS, whose latest album, 'Great Western Valkyrie' stormed into the charts around the world on its release.  It was rated the number one album of 2014 by Classic Rock magazine in a year which also saw the band gain high-profile TV slots on Late Night with David Letterman and Later... with Jools Holland.

RIVAL SONS ANNOUNCE CANADIAN HEADLINING TOUR

RIVAL SONS have announced a Canadian headlining tour, which is due to kick off on October 24th in Toronto, Ontario.

The band have just completed a US tour, which included a number of headlining dates as well as shows with legendary rocker SAMMY HAGAR.  The band are now having a short break before travelling north in October for their Canadian tour.

RIVAL SONS recently checked in from the road:

"We've had an absolute blast so far on our jaunt through America.  Sammy Hagar has been a saint of hospitality to us.  And got to rock to some significant audiences - on our own as well.  We swam in the highest pond in the Appalachian mountain range.  Nashville rocked our worlds (and vice-versa, haha!).  After we wrap up this American tour, it's a couple weeks and back to Canada for a headlining tour.  Canada has been one of our strongest supporters, so we're looking forward to gettin' back.  Thanks y'alls!!!"

RIVAL SONS are due to kicked off a US tour Tuesday, August 20th - at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colorado.  The band will be playing a number of shows supporting rock legend SAMMY HAGAR, as well as a number of headlining dates.

RIVAL SONS have also been nominated at the Classic Rock Awards for the third year in a row, with their latest album, HEAD DOWN, up for the "Album of the Year" award.

RIVAL SONS ANNOUNCE U.S. TOUR INCLUDING SHOWS WITH SAMMY HAGAR

RIVAL SONS have confirmed dates for a US tour, including a number of shows with rock legend SAMMY HAGAR (MONTROSE, VAN HALEN, CHICKENFOOT).

RIVAL SONS will be kicking off their tour on August 20th with a number of headlining dates, and have also been invited to perform a select number of shows with one of their heroes, SAMMY HAGAR, on his "Four Decades of Rock" summer tour.

RIVAL SONS guitarist SCOTT HOLIDAY comments:

Long Beach blues-rockers RIVAL SONS have returned to the UK to kick off the next leg of their European tour.

The band will be performing tonight - Tuesday, April 9th - at Shepherd's Bush Empire in London, before continuing their trek around the UK for another six shows.  The band will then be returning to Europe again in June for a number of summer festival appearances, including the UK's legendary Download festival.

The video was filmed in November 2012 with director SIMON GESREL, who is well-known for his stop-motion work and his work with MICHEL GONDRY (THE WHITE STRIPES, BJORK).  The track is taken from the band's new album, HEAD DOWN.

"I really dig this video; it's a completely new direction for us.  Filming videos can be very awkward for me, but this time I got to ride a dirt bike out in the desert where I'm most comfortable; it just felt so natural for the song.  We're all pretty good on a bike so we just took turns doing tricks and trying to outdo each other.  We ended up with some sweet footage.  Nice."
